This course introduces engineering students to the ethical foundations of responsible engineering, from cognitive biases to moral reasoning. It then turns to the specific challenges raised by AI systems such as algorithmic fairness, explainability, regulation and ethical frameworks (AI Act, charts), and the environmental and human costs of technology.
